In an effort to improve both Internet Service and your channel lineups, we are making some changes to the Rayville and Monroe, LA systems.  During this process you may experience a disruption in some of the channels that you are currently carrying.  By the end of the week, some of your channels may have moved slightly and you may also receive some additional channels.  Listed below are the new channel numbers for the affected networks:

Channel 2               KMCT (39) IND – Monroe

Channel 54            VH-1

Channel 55            AMC

Channel 56           KWMS (17) IND – Monroe

Channel 57          Outdoor Channel

Channel 58           TV Guide

Channel 59            Lifetime Movie Network

Channel 60           TRU TV

Channel 61          Gospel Music Channel

TBN will ONLY be available on Digital Basic.

Late last week, we saw news breaking that suggests ESPN just paid the NFL $15B (that’s Billion!) in order to keep NFL Monday Football games for 10+ years.  You know how this works.   ESPN will soon approach CMA with a whopping contractual rate increase.  Ultimately, these costs will be passed on to you, the consumer, in one way.  All providers will have to pay more, including DirecTV and Dish Network.  We believe it’s FINALLY time for the establishment of some sort of sports packages or tiers.  Sports fans won’t mind paying a few extra $$$ for their games.  Why force these costs on everyone?

More than 2,000 CMA customers are now paying their bill by automatic checking (draft) or via automatic credit card.  It’s a great way to easily manage your expenses and avoid late fees.

CMA is currently working to improve your Internet service!

We are in the process of adding more fiber to the Base in an effort to increase Internet Speed and Reliability.  Once the new fiber has been added, everyone on Base will experience the rate and dependability associated with the fastest downloads and always on Internet connection.  This will also improve your CMA Phone Service.

You should begin to notice your downloads increasing within the next few weeks.

We saw a number of articles yesterday regarding the potential closure of more than 3,500 local/rural post offices. Certainly understand the challenged economics of the postal service, but we’re hoping that no local CMA towns are affected. Are you aware of any announced closings in CMA communities?
