The summer Olympics begin Friday July 27^th. NBC will provide significant and prime time coverage of a major portion of the most popular events on your local broadcast NBC channel.

In order for CMA to transmit the additional Olympic programming coverage as advertised on other NBC owned networks, CMA would have to pay a significant surcharge.  After ongoing negotiation, CMA decided not to accept these costs, which would have resulted in a rate increase

We do not believe that your cable bill should realize a permanent increase for a two-week sporting event.

CMA customers will view regular, NON-Olympic, scheduled programming on the following channels during the Olympics:  MSNBC, CNBC, Versus, Telemundo and Bravo.

In addition, CMA customers will NOT have access to online options to view live streamed events.

Remember that your local NBC affiliate will carry a major portion of the most popular Olympic events during prime time viewing. Plus, viewers can access the Local NBC affiliate in High Def (where available).
